“Our restaurant was located in the heart of Bath Beach and was considered a good safe place for the “Boys” to meet. The food prepared by the chef (Fat Jack) was always top shelf, and the veal was always tender. On Thursday nights at 7:30, a good-looking guy would quietly enter the restaurant and sit at a corner table. He would be very well dressed in an Italian handmade, extremely expensive, Brioni suit, monogrammed white shirt with French cuffs, and always with a good-looking wife or girlfriend. His hands were perfectly manicured with polished fingernails – not painted but buffed.
In a low-pitched voice, he would order a bottle of Bolla Bardolino and a bottle of San Pellegrino mineral water with gas. He and his lady would talk, and when they were ready, they would signal the waiter to the table…”
